Buy three compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) as part of an offsetting project in Kenya, East Africa.
These low energy bulbs consume around 20% of the energy used by the equivalent incandescent bulbs. They will be installed in areas where energy is largely derived from fossil fuel, ensuring that the carbon saving is maximised.
The recipients of the bulbs benefit from lower energy bills and, due to their greater lifespan, reduced replacement costs and waste. Over seven years three CFLs will save 1 tonne of CO2.£15.00

Buy an energy efficient stove as part of a project in Kenya to be submitted for Gold Standard Listing.
Our energy efficient stoves are approximately 50% more efficient than an open fire and addition to the saving in greenhouse gas emissions, the reduced need for firewood and the burning of rubbish leads to a corresponding reduction in the amount of time spent collecting the material. The users of our new technologies also gain considerable other benefits such as reduced costs and a greatly improved environment from a health and safety perspective.
